Teachers of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish school traditionally win “ORT Teacher of the Year” competitions.
During the two previous years the competition was held for teachers of mathematics and computer basics, and they were won by Tatiana Ivashkova in 2007 and Natalia Goshkador in 2008. This year ORT announced competition for teachers of Jewish studies, and our teacher Mikhael Livshits became the winner.
21 city out of 9 countries took part in it. Each participant spoke about teaching experience, submit a written lesson plan, give a master class, then analyze it and do some tests revealing his/her professional, creative and intellectual skills.
During the finals in Moscow Mikhael Livshits went through all stages with flying colors and got a clear-cut victory.
When our hero returned home he was greeted by the school director and his colleagues.
Our community congratulates Mikhael Livshits who demonstrated high level of pedagogical mastership at our Jewish school and won a prestigious prize.
