The Torah scroll written in honor of Alexander Fridkis and to lift his soul will be presented by the Jewish community of Dnieper to the synagogue HaBaDa in Petah Tikva (Israel).
The ceremonial event for the inscription of the new Torah scroll will take place on 7 Adar 5785 (March 6, 2025) at 6:00 p.m. at 4 David Wolfson Street, Petach Tikva, Israel (+972-538243770 is the phone number for those wishing to participate).
The scroll, written by Ukrainian soifers in memory of Alexander ben Avraham Fridkis, longtime gabbai of the Dnieper Central Synagogue and manager of the Dnieper Jewish religious community, is a gift of Chief Rabbi of Dnieper and the region Shmuel Kaminetsky and the entire Dnieper Jewish community. It was also given in merit of Melnikova Lyubov Andreevna, Melnikov Mikhail Yakovlevich, Korol Eufrosynia Nikolayevna, Zaremba Anatoliy Valentinovich, Korol Ivan Grigorievich.
