Farbrengen on Yud Shvat at Golden Rose Synagogue.

This year Shabbat coincided with the anniversary of Yud Shvat and special farbrengens were organized at the Golden Rose Synagogue to commemorate the 75th anniversary of a key event in Jewish life of our generation – the day of the departure of the previous Sixth Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, and the assumption of the title of Rebbe by Rabbi Menachem-Mendel Schneerson.

Since Yud Shvat was on Shabbat, of course no photos were taken, but despite this, we feel it is important to tell about such large-scale events in honor of this significant day. The main men’s farbrengen was held in the prayer hall of the Central Synagogue “Golden Rose” after the end of the morning Shacharit prayer and was attended by over two hundred members of the synagogue. Festive tables were laid in all the aisles and the atmosphere of the Hasidic farbrengen was inspiring and filled with spiritual energy. The Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region Shmuel Kaminetsky, the Head of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine Rabbi Meir Zvi Stambler and many other distinguished guests and envoys of the Lubavitcher Rebbe spoke about the significance of the date of Yud Shvat, about the role of the Rebbe in the life of every Jew and the entire Jewish people.

There were two farbrengens for women, led by Rebetzn Hana Kaminetska, also very numerous and inspiring. A large children’s farbrengen with fascinating stories, games, contests and treats was held separately.
