Help and support for laboring and pregnant women and their families "Shifra and Puah"
The “Shifra and Puah” project was initiated by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and is now successfully implemented in every city where the Chabad organization operates. This project aims to support women in labor and their families in the first month after the birth of their child by providing them with homemade breakfasts and dinners.
When a woman gives birth, breakfasts are brought to her for a month, both at the maternity hospital and after she returns home. In addition, dinners are provided for the whole family, including the children and husband. It is important to note that all meals are prepared by religious women from our community according to a predetermined schedule. Each takes responsibility for one day, showing care and warmth to families who need support during this special time.
Deliveries are made by drivers who carry out their mission with care and heart. Thanks to this organization and participation of community members, women in labor can recover from childbirth without worrying about preparing food for their families.
The Shifrova and Pua project is more than helping with food. It is a manifestation of unity, care and mutual support in a community that stays true to the traditions of charity and kindness.
