Blessing of flowering trees at the lyceum

The Levi-Yitzhak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum #144 held a ceremony to bless flowering fruit trees, which, according to Jewish tradition, should be held in the spring month of Nisan.

“This year we decided to bless the trees by class,” says Aliza Rabinovich, the lyceum’s deputy director for Jewish traditions, “the teachers of the Jewish Studies Department of our lyceum, namely Yehudis Futerfas, Irina Krieger, Chaya Nakhshon, Leia Lazareva, Judith Susorova, and Malki Feldman, did it with each class separately, explaining the meaning of this rite and its importance.

The blessing of the blossoming fruit trees took place not far from the lyceum building as part of the educational process that forms a harmonious personality that respects the traditions of the Jewish people.

The event was held with the support of the Jewish Community of Dnipro.
