A general children’s farbrengen took place at the Children’s Educational Center ‘Beit Tzindlicht,’ dedicated to the birthday of the leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
All the children gathered in the assembly hall and celebrated with great enthusiasm, – says the kindergarten teacher Malka Averbuch, – we recited psalms, read Tehillim, gave tzedakah, watched videos about the Rebbe, and danced joyfully. We celebrated in groups as well – each child created a drawing that will later be sent as a gift to the Rebbe at ‘Seven Seventy.’
The children’s farbrengen is part of the educational process, and while it differs from the regular Hasidic farbrengen, which is held as a form of celebration for significant events in Jewish history, it prepares children to participate in the communal spiritual life of the Jewish community, helping them to internalize traditions and customs as an important part of their unique identity.
The event was organized with the support of the Jewish community of Dnipro.
