Yud Alef Nisan at the Yeshiva named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson.

At the Dnipro Yeshiva named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, a festive farbrengen took place, along with a summary of a large campaign for Yud Alef Nisan, marking the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson.

At the beginning of the celebration, the children watched a video about the Lubavitcher Rebbe, followed by a small quiz on facts about his life and work. After reciting 12 psalms, the children pronounced a new section of the book of Tehillim that corresponds to the year of his birth.

Our website has already reported on the first and second stages of the campaign celebrating the Rebbe’s birthday (here and here), and during the festive farbrengen, the results were announced and winners were recognized. In the team game, the two younger groups, the first and second, as well as the older group called ‘Shiur Alef,’ emerged victorious. The prizes for the youngest will be a trip to Crazy Land, for the second group a farbrengen at the historic synagogue of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s father on European Street, and for ‘Shiur Alef,’ a farbrengen at the ‘Kohavi’ recreation center.

he results of the campaign were also summarized, during which each child memorized texts from the tractate ‘Pesachim’ as a gift for the Rebbe. Ten children who memorized the most texts received special prizes, while the next ten received certificates for the kosher store ‘Kosher de Luxe.’ Additionally, everyone who participated in this campaign received diplomas.

The event was organized with the support of the Jewish community of Dnipro.
