This morning, the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, conducted the official procedure for the sale of chametz belonging to the Jews of Dnipro and Jews from other communities and organizations that entrusted this task to the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region.
Until yesterday, Jews could fill out a mandate to sell their chametz, which is in their possession or stored on their premises, at the Central Synagogue “Golden Rose,” in accordance with the requirements of Jewish religious law, traditions, and customs. According to Jewish tradition, during the holiday of Passover, a Jew is not only prohibited from eating chametz or using it in any way, but also from owning it in any form, except in cases where it has been sold in strict accordance with the law and is legally considered foreign property.
Many Jews approached Rabbi Kaminezki, entrusting him to sell their chametz as prescribed by Jewish tradition. All these written mandates, which are legal documents, were submitted to the office of the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro.
Today, the procedure for selling chametz has been completed. The chametz has been sold – and the Jewish community is ready for Passover!
