The Prime Minister of Ukraine, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the highest executive body of our country, Denys Anatoliyovych Shmyhal, sent greetings to Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region Shmuel Kaminetsky and the entire Jewish community of the region on the occasion of Passover.
The greeting reads:
To the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and
Dnipropetrovs’k region
Dnipropetrovs’k Jewish
religious community
Shmuel Kaminezki
Dear Rabbi!
In these joyous days of Passover, I sincerely congratulate you and the Jewish community on the holiday of freedom, which is a symbol of hope and strength of spirit.
Pesach reminds us that even after the darkest night, there is a dawn. The Jewish people went through slavery, persecution, and exile, but always found a way to freedom. Similarly, today we believe that the day will come when the trials will end and pain and suffering will give way to peace and tranquility. It is in such difficult times that we must remember that darkness does not last forever, and liberation comes to those who do not lose hope and continue to fight.
I wish Passover to be a time of unity with family and friends. May shared meals and stories about the great events of the past strengthen the connection with traditions and pass them on to future generations, and may our prayers for those who are now fighting for our common home be answered.
May this holiday bring peace, strength and wisdom, and may the coming year be a year of renewal, joy and fulfillment of dreams.
Sincerely Denys Shmyhal
