FJCU Donated 200 Copies of “Tehillim” to the Jewish Community of Dnipro

Ahead of the holiday of Pesach Sheni, the Jewish Community of Dnipro received a meaningful gift from the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine (FJCU) — 200 copies of the Book of Tehillim (Psalms) in Ukrainian, published as part of a major project to translate key Jewish religious texts into Ukrainian.

These editions are in high demand among congregants and participants in various Jewish educational programs, so the community quickly distributed the books to synagogues throughout the city — on Polya Avenue, Nauky Avenue, the Jewish lyceum, and other hubs of Jewish life in Dnipro.

“Each copy of the Ukrainian edition of Tehillim is already in use. Every book supports someone who needs the words of Psalms as a source of strength, hope, and connection to the Creator,” said Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki.

The Jewish community of Dnipro sincerely thanks the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine and personally the Chairman of its Council, Rabbi Meir Tzvi Stambler, for their ongoing support of the Jews of Dnipro — support that is consistently felt throughout the community. Today, Jews across Ukraine have a strong need for Jewish religious literature in the Ukrainian language, and on Pesach Sheni — a day that itself symbolizes a second chance and spiritual renewal — this gift served as a powerful reminder that even a small book can make a great impact on a person’s heart.
