On the festive day of Lag BaOmer, the students of the “Shiur Alef” group of the Dnipro Yeshiva named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson received their long-awaited gift — a vibrant and inspiring outdoor farbrengen at the picturesque country club “Kohavi” on the bank of the Samara River.
This reward from the Jewish Community of Dnipro was the culmination of a major initiative dedicated to the birthday of the Leader of our generation — the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Many children’s groups participated in this program, and “Shiur Alef” emerged as the main winner.
And so, on Lag BaOmer, the “Shiur Alef” group enjoyed their special prize — an unforgettable farbrengen. This celebration will long be remembered by all the participants and will become a significant experience of true Chassidic joy on this special day of the Jewish calendar.
The highlight of the celebration was a farbrengen with the boys’ beloved teachers and mentors — Rabbi Sholom Nachshon and the head of the local “Tzivos Hashem” youth organization in Dnipro, Rabbi David Vaskovsky.
“The boys truly enjoyed this Lag BaOmer celebration and were further inspired to study Jewish texts with full energy, increase their observance of mitzvot, and bring joy to the Rebbe,” said the yeshiva’s director, Rebbetzin Chana Segal. “We are very grateful to the Jewish Community of Dnipro for this wonderful gift to our students and for their ongoing support of our yeshiva.”
