A large men’s farbrengen took place in the central synagogue of Dnipro, “Golden Rose,” in honor of Gimmel Tammuz—the 31st anniversary of the day when the soul of the great tzaddik, the leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, ascended from the material world. On this day, special gatherings are held around the world, dedicated to the Rebbe’s teachings, wisdom, and his eternal influence on our lives.
In Dnipro, the farbrengen was held in the prayer hall of the synagogue and gathered many members of the local Jewish community as well as esteemed rabbis, including Reuven Milman, Dan Makogon, Sholom Nachshon, and others.
The event was filled with deep spiritual inspiration and heartfelt emotion—participants listened to speeches by the rabbis and sang the Rebbe’s niggunim. Many shared personal stories about how the Rebbe impacted their lives and the profound meaning they find in their ongoing connection with the leader of our generation.
Each attendee wrote a personal note to the Rebbe—a “pidyon nefesh” with a request for blessings.
“It was a very moving and meaningful gathering, and everyone felt a personal connection to the Rebbe,” said Rabbi Reuven Milman. “We feel our bond with the leader of the generation every day, but on Gimmel Tammuz and during farbrengens like this, it’s especially powerful.”
