Mezuzah Installed at a Popular Café in the City Center

A mezuzah installation ceremony (“Chanukat HaBayit”) was recently held at the newly opened but already popular Dnipro café Zvychaino Budu, located at 18a Korolenko Street.

The ceremony was led by Rabbi Reuven Milman, who recited the traditional blessings and affixed the mezuzah to the front door. He also offered heartfelt wishes for success to the establishment, its owner — an active member of the Dnipro Jewish Community — and her family.

As Rabbi Milman noted, while the café is not officially kosher, black coffee served in paper cups may still be considered kosher, since its preparation does not involve any contact with milk. Notably, the café also features two permanent photo series by one of the city’s most prominent Jewish photographers, Mark Mikhailovich Milov — “Streets of Europe” and “Koktebel ’88.”

We join in all the congratulations and warm wishes shared in honor of this meaningful event and wish Zvychaino Budu continued growth and success — may it soon become a beloved cultural landmark and a vibrant symbol of our city.
