The July issue of the “Shabbat Shalom” newspaper (the 390th issue overall) was once again published in an abridged eight-page format.
The front page is entirely devoted to the end of the academic year in the educational institutions of the Jewish Community of Dnipro.
The second page features an overview of video addresses by Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki on the weekly Torah portions, as well as a message from Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov in connection with current events.
The third page contains the “news panorama” of the Hesed Menachem Charitable Foundation.
On the fourth page are reports on the “Menora Music Fest” Jewish music festival, awards for the best students of the Jewish Lyceum, Student Self-Government Day at the Chaya Mushka Girls’ School (Mahon), and a major women’s event organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro in memory of Lea Altoyz.
Most of the fifth page is dedicated to the conclusion of an interview between Yevhen Yevshtein and Sarah-Mushka Kharpatina, the first part of which was published in the previous issue. Also on this page, under the “Community Life” section, are highlights from the “Lady Jewish Leader” project, activities in the Sunday School, and the Madrich School.
The sixth page features two materials dedicated to events in Israel: “12 Days of War…” and “Words I Didn’t Have Time to Say Yesterday.”
The seventh page is entirely devoted to a publication by Valentyn Khoroshun titled “Not Subject to Oblivion!” about an event organized by the Dnipro Center of Contemporary Culture as part of the “Dnipro and Around” educational program, which included a lecture-presentation by Dr. Yehor Vradii, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Museum “Memory of the Jewish People and the Holocaust in Ukraine.”
The eighth page traditionally includes greetings, announcements, and anecdotes, as well as a publication from djc.com.ua about a meeting between Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki and Zoia Petrovna Romanets, Executive Secretary of the Council of Jewish Veterans.
