The First Session of the “Gan Levi Yitzchak” Retreat Camp by the Jewish Community of Dnipro Has Begun

The traditional summer retreat for the families of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s emissaries in Dnipro, as well as for religious families from the Jewish Community of Dnipro, has officially opened. Just like in previous years, the “Gan Levi Yitzchak” retreat is taking place at the luxurious and comfortable Kohavi Forest Club, nestled in a picturesque and eco-friendly location on the banks of the Samara River.

This year, three sessions of the retreat are planned, each lasting nine days. Every day promises to be filled with vibrant, unforgettable moments, exciting activities, and meaningful experiences, all thoughtfully prepared by the camp’s fantastic team, led by director Mrs. Leah Brez.

The opening of the retreat was dedicated to the theme of family unity and strengthening core values, with a highlight of the event being the creation and presentation of each family’s personal coat of arms. Both children and adults joyfully worked on their designs and presented them with humor and creativity during a large shared gathering.

A key part of the retreat is the engaging children’s program, this year titled “Tzivos Hashem”, which not only ensures a joyful experience but also fosters a deep sense of spiritual connection. Each child will learn meaningful lessons about themselves and Judaism and will be able to preserve these memories through special events and souvenirs — including custom-designed journals for recording wise thoughts, inspirational messages, and powerful spiritual reflections shared by the warm and experienced madrichim.

“Thanks to the Jewish Community of Dnipro, we’ve once again entered a true fairy tale filled with unity and Yiddishkeit,” shared retreat director Mrs. Leah Brez. “I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the Kohavi Forest Club for their care, comfort, and their ability to create a festive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire site. I feel blessed to be part of this miracle, which so vividly reflects the ongoing care of the Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, for every Jewish family and every individual Jew. It is thanks to this care that such a unique retreat has become possible.”
