The event announcement reads:
On December 5, 1997, at Cape Canaveral (USA), the space shuttle Columbia landed, marking the end of mission STS-87. Among its crew was the first astronaut of Independent Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Leonid Kostiantynovych Kadenyuk.

During the mission, the Ukrainian astronaut successfully conducted a unique experiment developed by Ukrainian scientists — one that, for years to come, ensured the sustainability of space missions with long-term astronaut presence on board.

Five years ago, with support from the Ukrainian State Film Agency, the company “Spilna Peremoha Production” began working on the film “Mission – Cosmos. The Dream.”

The film tells the story of how a great dream of space was born in the heart of a little boy from Bukovina, the path that led him to the steps of an American shuttle, his life after the flight, and the final moments of Ukraine’s first astronaut.
