Anochas Tefillin for Binyamin Yitzchak Cherkassky

A special Anochas Tefillin ceremony was held at the Golden Rose Central Synagogue for Binyamin Yitzchak Cherkassky, son of community activist Asher-Yosef Cherkassky and Sara Shterna Gezentsvey.

Anochas Tefillin marks the final stage of a Jewish boy’s preparation for adulthood. While the mitzvah of putting on tefillin applies only from the age of thirteen, the preparation begins earlier. At this stage, since it is not yet a full mitzvah, the blessing is not recited.

Following the prayer, a festive meal was held in honor of this meaningful event.

The Jewish community of Dnipro and our website warmly congratulate Binyamin Yitzchak Cherkassky on beginning this important step toward his Bar Mitzvah, and wish him to enter this milestone at a good and auspicious hour — to grow into a true Chassid and reach Torah, Chuppah, and good deeds!
