A grand and festive farewell farbrengen was held in honor of the graduation of the “Shiur Gimel” group from the prestigious international educational institution, Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva-Ktana Ukraine—an institution where future rabbis and leaders of Jewish communities from many countries receive their education.
The farbrengen was attended not only by the students, their mentors, and teachers, but also by honored guests, including the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, who warmly congratulated the students on successfully completing their studies at such a remarkable institution—one that paves the way for further education at the most prestigious yeshivas around the world.
In response, the graduates of “Shiur Gimel” shared that their close-knit group had decided to continue their Torah studies together at the same institution in order to maintain their unity. They chose a highly esteemed and well-known yeshiva in Kiryat Gat (Israel). This yeshiva, known for its rigorous selection process and frequent rejections due to high standards, officially accepted all the students from this group. The announcement was made by Rabbi Moshe Hablin, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Tmimim Kiryat Gat. The news was met with thunderous applause and warm wishes for great success.
The graduating “Shiur Gimel” group from Dnipro included students from Jewish communities across Ukraine—Dnipro, Kremenchuk, Kherson, Kharkiv, as well as from Israel. The group was highly motivated and took their studies very seriously—before graduation, they even published a compilation of their scholarly works, including commentaries on fundamental Jewish texts and responses to questions that had not previously been addressed in Talmudic literature.
“It was a very heartfelt and emotionally rich event that lasted for several hours, and we were all proud of our outstanding graduates,” said Rabbi Yosef Glick, Executive Director of Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva-Ktana Ukraine.
“Many warm words were spoken about them by: Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Eliyahu Hefer, mentors and educators Rabbis Menachem Mendel Feldman, Moshe Neuman, and Mendel Nachshon.
The students, in turn, expressed sincere gratitude to those who taught them and cared for them under the supervision of administrator Shlomo Tereshkevich. But the greatest thanks were given to the Yeshiva’s Board of Directors—Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, Rabbi Mayer Tzvi Stambler, and Rabbi Rafael Rutman—as well as those whose support makes this wonderful yeshiva in the Dnipro Jewish community possible: Yisroel Girsh (Igor) Chervonenko, Eduardo Azar, Benyamin Demchenko, and the Abramenko family.”
The Jewish community of Dnipro and our website sincerely wish all the “Shiur Gimel” graduates great success in their studies, that they grow into Torah scholars and worthy emissaries of the Rebbe, bring honor to their families, bring much nachas to the Rebbe, and, at the right time, stand under the chuppah and engage in many good deeds!
