The August issue of Shabbat Shalom (391st issue overall) has once again been released in an abridged eight-page format.
The front page is entirely devoted to the summer retreat “Gan Levi Yitzchak,” organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro at the luxurious and comfortable Kohavi Forest Club. The retreat was held for the families of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s emissaries working in Dnipro, as well as for other religious families.
Page two features an overview of the weekly Torah video messages by Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki, and under the “Community Life” section — stories about women’s gatherings in the “Kollel Torah” project and in the “Golden Rose” Synagogue on Shabbat Mevarchim.
Page three contains a “news panorama” from the “Hesed Menachem” Charity Fund, including birthday congratulations from Shabbat Shalom to Acting Director Viktoriya Novoselova.
Page four includes a report about the graduation ceremony at “Beit Chana” and updates from the “Solomonika” JCC projects.
Page five is dedicated to a detailed retelling of one of the episodes of the popular YouTube channel “Menorah.”
Page six features two articles: “Bards Sing About Jews” by Alexander Bystryakov and “Important Dates of Tammuz” by Veronika Shlain.
Page seven is entirely dedicated to a publication by Mykola Bulany titled “The Secret Life of Sidney Reilly,” telling the story of Shlomo Rosenblum, who, according to Mykola’s opinion, became the prototype for the world-famous James Bond.
Page eight traditionally includes greetings, announcements, and “Jewish proverbs” in place of jokes.
