“Success Award 2025”: the best class – the best vacation!

The students of the class recognized as the best in the Jewish Lyceum No. 144 named after Levi-Yitzhak Schneerson based on the results of the completed academic year received a wonderful gift from the Jewish Community of Dnepr – a whole day of fun recreation at the fashionable and comfortable Kohavi Forest Club complex, located in a picturesque and ecologically clean corner on the banks of the Samara River.

The tenth-graders (and now eleventh-graders) received their title of “Class of the Year” during the “Success Award-2025” ceremony, which we described in detail here, and before the start of the new school year, the Jewish Community of Dnepr invited them and their class teacher, deputy director of the lyceum Svetlana Romenskaya, to relax in the wonderful world of “Kohavi”.

“It was a wonderful day – first a tour of this beautiful place, then a swimming pool (boys and girls, of course, swam separately), sports games, a kayaking trip along the river, lots of fresh air, positive emotions, friendly communication and, of course, very tasty and kosher meals,” recalls Svetlana Romenskaya, “there was also a wonderful master class on making kosher candies and very interesting conversations about our future, about the future of our community, about the future of our beloved Ukraine and about the place of each of us in its formation – we even arranged a small role-playing game on this topic so that everyone could better understand themselves and prepare not only for life in such a difficult world, but also see their path, by which they can bring light to the world and improve it.”

The boys and girls were able to relax in Kohavi Forest Club from morning to evening, and when they returned to the city at dusk and recalled this long summer day, they understood that they would remember it forever and that it would become an important experience for them, which would determine a lot not only in the next school year, but also in their future lives.

“I want to say a huge thank you to the Jewish Community of Dnepr, the administration of our lyceum and everyone who came up with and organized such a motivating experience for our children – the “Success Award”, such a wonderful award and such a memorable vacation,” says Svetlana Romenskaya, “we talked a lot about this – about unity, cohesion, responsibility, about who we are and who we will be.”
