“Beit Baruch” showed the play “Know how to cherish love”, dedicated to the 15th of Av

The long-awaited premiere of the musical play “Know how to cherish love”, dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the month of Av, took place in the Beit Baruch Senior Citizens’ Home of the Dnepr Jewish Community.

This play was prepared for a long time and with great care, it combined both solo numbers and choral, theatrical scenes and choreographic compositions, in the style of the once popular genre of “review” or “revue”, in which a single concept unites heterogeneous, multi-style numbers and this mosaic only emphasizes the integrity of the entire performance.

Especially for this performance, one of the talents of the Beit Baruch House, Yuri Moiseevich Fleishman, prepared a whole series of his own interpretations of fragments from various musical works – operas, operettas and musicals, which organically fit into the fabric of the performance, the main theme of which was Love with a capital letter.

“It was very important for us to give a feeling of joy, hope and prospect after three mournful and anxious weeks of the Jewish calendar,” says social worker and head of creative projects at Beit Baruch, Rivka Lazareva, “the artists performed with great enthusiasm, with great enthusiasm, and the audience was delighted and felt how important it is for all of us to receive a charge of positive energy. After the performance, the audience danced, even those who have difficulty moving, some with walkers, some in wheelchairs, but we were able to give them such a charge that helped them overcome the limitations imposed by age or illness.”

The director of the Beit Baruch House, Malvina Ruvinskaya, congratulated the creators and participants of the performance on their great creative success and noted that such wonderful events not only prolong the life and health of those who were lucky enough to see them, but are also a great contribution to the development of Jewish culture, and for this, all residents and employees of the Beit Baruch House warmly thank the Jewish Community of Dnepr and its Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky.
