Summer Day Camp for Boys: A Vacation Filled with Meaning and Joy

The day camp for boys “Geula in Every Home,” organized by the Jewish Community of Dnepr at the Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Junior Yeshiva, continues its work in Dnepr. It combines classes with active recreation, fun games, and entertainment.

At the end of last week, the boys visited one of the centers for active recreation in Dnepr, where, under the guidance of experienced instructors, they learned to walk on a narrow strip stretched over trampolines, mastered the basics of rock climbing, and such a modern urban sport as roller skating and scooter riding at the rollerdrome. Photos can only partially convey the storm of emotions, joy, and excitement that twenty-five camp participants experienced.

“It is important to note that entertainment and sports games are only part of our camp,” says the camp’s head counselor Yosef Yitzhak Nachshon, “the main thing in our camp is, of course, the daily classes devoted not only to Jewish topics, but specifically to those related to the topic of Geula, the coming of Moshiach and how everyone, adult or child, can influence the approach of the complete and final Redemption, how to be prepared for it and why it is so important. It is no coincidence that our camp is called “Geula in Every Home” and in our camp this is the main and fundamental thing.”
