The Beit Baruch Senior Citizens’ Home of the Jewish Community of Dnipro celebrated the third anniversary of the famous theater studio under the direction of Rivka Lazareva, whose achievements we have repeatedly told our readers about.
Exactly three years ago, in August of the turbulent year of 2022, Rivka Lazareva gathered those who wanted to overcome fear, confusion, and even illness with creativity. The first performance of the studio was not yet a play, but a literary and musical composition “I will overcome everything”, because, although many languages are present in the productions, the main one, at the request of all participants, was Ukrainian from the very beginning.
Then there were many performances – for all Jewish holidays and important dates, such as the twentieth anniversary of the House “Beit Baruch”, productions in creative collaboration with the Jewish Lyceum, Hesed, Machon and other Jewish institutions, but Rivka Lazareva considers the productions “With Ukraine in the Heart”, “Evil and Truth Will Win”, as well as “Joseph and His Brothers” and “Keep Love in Mind”, the premiere of which took place quite recently, to be especially significant.
The theater studio was warmly congratulated by the director of the House “Beit Baruch” Malvina Ruvinskaya, who emphasized that each production carries such a charge of love, positive emotions and the desire to make the world a better place that it not only improves the mood and gives a charge of vivacity, but also helps the elderly to better cope with illnesses and life’s difficulties. Malvina Ruvinskaya noted that Beit Baruch is proud of its theater studio and wishes all its participants great success and creative longevity.
