In Dnipro, near the memorial sign by the Regional Administration, an interfaith prayer for Ukraine dedicated to Independence Day took place, bringing together representatives of the main religious denominations of the region.
The Jewish Community of Dnipro was represented at the ceremony by Igor Romanov, Director of the Union of Jewish Religious Communities of the Region, and Alexander Kheifets, a congregant of the Golden Rose Synagogue. The representatives of religious organizations were warmly greeted by Iryna Hrytsai, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration-Head of the Military Administration, who emphasized the importance of preserving and strengthening interfaith harmony and unity for the development of the Ukrainian nation.
Afterwards, representatives of the major denominations recited prayers for Ukraine, for peace, and for victory according to their religious traditions. Later that same day, the forum “Religious Freedom in Independent Ukraine” was held at the Regional Scientific Library.
