Shortly after the start of the school year, a meeting was held with Olena Krasnova, the director of the Jewish Lyceum No. 144 named after Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, with the parent, teaching, and student communities. During the meeting, she reported on the institution’s work during the 2024/2025 academic year.
In her speech, Olena Krasnova highlighted the lyceum’s key areas of activity and the achievements the institution can be proud of:
- Participation of lyceum students in competitions at the city, all-Ukrainian, and international levels;
- Organization and hosting of inter-school competitions for Dnipro institutions: “Okrileni slovom” (Inspired by the Word), “Ya doslidnyk” (I am a Researcher), and “Hackathon”;
- Launching an interdisciplinary lyceum olympiad for students in grades 1-4;
- Participation of teachers as speakers at scientific-pedagogical conferences, seminars, and workshops, both at the all-Ukrainian and international levels;
- Publications in professional journals, participation in expert activities, charitable educational programs, and more.
Ms. Krasnova emphasized that the institution continues to actively cooperate with the Jewish community and the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council to improve the quality and ensure the safety of all participants in the educational process. Specifically, a gazebo for outdoor classes has been installed in the schoolyard, a solar power plant has been commissioned, the ventilation system in the food block’s production workshops has been updated, and the construction of a shelter on the educational institution’s territory is ongoing.
The director expressed sincere gratitude to the Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki for their comprehensive support, daily assistance, and care for the life and development of the lyceum, as well as to the teachers for their professional and dedicated work and to the parents for their active participation in the life of the institution.
