The days before the holiday of Rosh Hashanah have traditionally been a time for summing up and concluding the season for the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family.
This year, following an established tradition, this important moment was marked by a festive party on the open terrace of the 18th floor of the Menorah Center. An unforgettable atmosphere that energized everyone was complemented by delicious kosher treats, a bar with a wide selection of drinks, and a DJ with a special program of carefully selected music tracks.
A key moment of the celebration was the direct communication between the project participants and esteemed rabbis: the project’s rabbi, Reuven Kaminezki; the CEO of JRNU, Rabbi Shlomo Neeman; and a rabbi from one of Kyiv’s communities, JRNU representative Simcha Levingart, who blew the shofar for all those present.
“Meeting such wonderful people who do so much for the development of Judaism in Ukraine made our evening even more special and spiritually fulfilling,” noted Levi Zislin, head of the “Menorah Community” project. “This Jewish year, we have achieved great success, but we plan to do even more to spread spiritual light in the coming year of 5786.”
