“Valeriy Shalyha’s film ‘Vidlunnya’ (‘Echo’, 2020) is dedicated to all those killed during the mass shootings of the Jewish population in World War II. The film uses memories from V.Ya. Kulikov’s book ‘Occupation,’ making it not only a work of art but also an important reminder of the historical events we must not forget.

Starring: Marko Hertzberg, Olha Oleksii, Oleksii Sukhanov, and Ihor Volkov.

The special guest of the evening is Valeriy Shalyha, Honored Artist of Ukraine, director, screenwriter, and general producer, who will personally present the film, share more about its creation, and communicate with the audience.

This screening is not just about watching a film. It is a way to honor the memory, to see the reflection of history in art, and to remind ourselves once again: the power of culture and memory makes us stronger than time and circumstances,” states the press release.
