At the “Beit Zindlicht” Children’s Educational Center, the main preschool institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, classes were held dedicated to preparing for the final period of the month of Tishrei – the holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah.
The children, together with their teachers, attentively observed the construction of a large sukkah in the courtyard of “Beit Zindlicht” and discussed all its features necessary for the proper fulfillment of the commandments of “dwelling in the booth,” as well as their deep spiritual meaning.
“We also familiarized ourselves in detail with each of the Four Species, which we will use to perform the mitzvah of ‘Netilat Lulav’ during the days of Sukkot,” said teacher Malka Averbukh. “The children will return home and will not only be able to delight their parents with their knowledge but also perform the precepts of these days together with them with deep awareness.”
On the eve of the festive week, “Beit Zindlicht” will host a special day of preparation for Simchat Torah with dances, songs, and fun games, so that the youngest members of the Dnipro Jewish Community can celebrate the conclusion of the series of Tishrei holidays together with the adults.
