Thousands of Jews who came to fulfill the mitzvah of the Sukkot holiday at the central “Golden Rose” Synagogue of the Dnipro Jewish Community had the opportunity to participate in meals organized thanks to the generous support of the renowned philanthropist and patron, the esteemed member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, Reb Natan Zolotarevsky, and his family.
For many years, Reb Natan Zolotarevsky and his family have been funding this special Sukkot initiative so that everyone has the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of “Leishev BaSukkah” (to dwell in the sukkah) and enjoy a full, delicious, and kosher meal, feeling united with all who come to share the joy of the holiday and fulfill the precept of the Almighty.
“It is incredibly inspiring and touching to see very young people and the elderly, representatives of different social groups, regular congregants, and those who come to the synagogue only for the holidays, sitting together at shared tables, talking, enjoying the meal, and feeling part of one big Jewish family that cares for everyone,” said Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. “Reb Natan Zolotarevsky accomplishes a great deed every year, not only in a material sense but also in a spiritual one, because a meal in the sukkah is not just food for the body; it possesses tremendous spiritual power, and we sincerely thank Mr. Natan Zolotarevsky for the opportunity to reveal this power.”
