Rebbe Rashab’s Birthday at “Beit Zindlicht”

The “Beit Zindlicht” Children’s Educational Center, the main preschool institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, held events dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of the Fifth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Sholom Dov Ber Schneersohn, also known as the Rebbe Rashab.

A special farbrengen was organized for the children of all age groups, dedicated to this important date in the history of Chabad-Lubavitch. The children listened with great interest to stories about the life and good deeds of the Rebbe Rashab, sang nigunim, gave tzedakah in honor of the Fifth Chabad Rebbe, and discussed what love for one’s fellow means to them and how it is manifested.

An important part of the celebration was the creation of special greeting cards for the Rebbe, as well as the decoration of portraits of the Rebbe Rashab. The children proudly wore these portraits as a symbol of the light, goodness, and wisdom he brought to people.

“We treat such memorable dates in our people’s history, which hold special significance for our identity, with great attention,” said the director of “Beit Zindlicht,” Risha Gurevich. “We celebrate such events in our kindergarten in a very vivid, joyful, and united way, thanks to the unified and close-knit Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”
