The topic of the women’s class in the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family, this week was also the mysteries of reincarnation as understood in Judaism – how souls return to this world according to the teachings of the Arizal and Lubavitch Chassidut.
The instructor of the “Menorah Community” project, Deputy Secretary of the Dnipro Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Avraham Yosef Yitzchak Karshenbaum, revealed to the participants the mysteries of Gilgul (reincarnation), Ibur (impregnation of a soul), and other forms of soul interaction. He explained how souls that have to fulfill their purpose sometimes return again to complete their spiritual work: to perform specific mitzvot, undergo their Tikkun (rectification), or accomplish an unfinished mission in this world.
“Reb Itzhak not only introduced the men to this topic but also decided to share the knowledge with the girls of our community so that each one could gain a deeper understanding of her soul’s path and its mission in this world,” said Esti Zislin, co-director of the project. “We discussed with great interest what signs might indicate a Gilgul: strong inner inclinations, unexpected fears, special talents, or a feeling that a person is already ‘familiar’ with certain people or places.”
