The December issue of Shabbat Shalom (the 395th since its inception) has once again been published in a shortened, eight-page format.
The front page features a story about the visit of the students of the Dnipro Makhon “Chaya Mushka” to the “Beit Baruch” home of the Dnipro Jewish Community, as well as a brief memorial note marking the second anniversary of the passing of Mikhail Karshenbaum.
The second page contains an overview of the weekly Torah-portion video messages by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro, Shmuel Kaminezki, along with stories about a women’s class held within the “Jewish Home” project and a women’s farbrengen at the “Golden Rose” synagogue.
The third page traditionally offers a “news panorama” of the Hesed Menachem Charitable Foundation.
The fourth page reports on how the “Global Day of Jewish Learning” was celebrated in our city, and presents updates from the Solomonika JCC projects.
The fifth page is fully dedicated to a concise retelling of one of the episodes of the popular YouTube channel “Menora”.
The sixth page features congratulations on the 88th birthday of the well-known scholar, journalist, historian, local researcher, and long-time contributor to the newspaper, Oleksandr Bystriakov, along with two of his articles: “The Genius of Cinema” and “Otto Ippen, also known as Yan Cherniak”.
The seventh page presents an interview with the well-known Dnipro poetess Liudmyla Vitaliivna Nekrasovska.
The traditional eighth page includes greetings, announcements, a joke, and an obituary.
The full version of the newspaper is available at the link.
