Special Program at the “Chaya Mushka” Ma’hon in Honor of the Wedding Anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka

A special program dedicated to the 97th wedding anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, took place at the “Chaya Mushka” Ma’hon, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro for girls. The event combined a festive atmosphere, creative tasks, and elements of learning, allowing the participants to feel the significance of the day.

The program began in the dining hall with a small farbrengen: the girls were seated to the sound of cheerful wedding music, followed by a festive breakfast. Then, the participants watched a video story about the Rebbe’s wedding, presented in the format of a narrative by two girls sharing their impressions. At the end of the video, photographs of the teachers at their weddings were shown, and during the viewing, the students had to find and count the Hanukkah symbols hidden in the storyline.

After the viewing, students in grades 1-4 worked on a creative task and made festive bracelets. The girls in grades 5-11 went down to the gym, where they were divided into three teams. Each team received a cake to decorate in honor of the Rebbe’s wedding. This became not only creative work but also an exercise in cooperation and precision.

The event for the older grades concluded with vibrant and spirited wedding dances, which the girls performed with great heartfelt elevation and genuine Chassidic joy in honor of the 97th wedding anniversary of the Head of our Generation.

“The girls participated in every task with great interest, and it’s important for us that such programs help them become acquainted with tradition through experiences they genuinely live,” explained Morah Edna Yudovich. “Participation in such events is an important part of our work, aimed at educating girls in the spirit of the traditions and values of Chassidism, which we carry out thanks to the care and support of the Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
