Every day of Hanukkah, the Beit Tsindlicht Children’s Educational Center, a preschool of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, hosts a variety of Hanukkah events, creating a joyful atmosphere of wonderful wonder.
The Beit Tsindlicht Junior Group hosted a Hanukkah morning party, which included the mothers of the children. The main focus was festive interaction between parents and children. They danced together, made candles for the holiday, and participated in a workshop on decorating the traditional Hanukkah treat, sufganiyot doughnuts.
The main mitzvah of the holiday was led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Marinowski, assisted by his daughter, a student in the group. The holiday concluded with a large Hanukkah meal and the presentation of a special Hanukkah gift to each child.
“We tried to make our Chanukah party a family-friendly event, warm and filled with deep spiritual joy, because Chanukah unites Jewish families, fills our homes with light, and generously shares it with everyone around us,” says kindergarten teacher Naomi Chaya Yavorskaya. “During Chanukah, our kindergarten celebrates its birthday, and we wholeheartedly thank our beloved Jewish Community of Dnipro, under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezky, for the opportunity to raise Jewish children for over twenty years.”
