During the days of Hanukkah, a truly home-like, bright, and touching atmosphere prevailed at the “Bait leBanim” boarding school, a unique social institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community where boys who need special care, family coziness, attention, and warmth live and study.
Esteemed members of the Dnipro Jewish Community paid a warm visit to the boarding school to congratulate the boys on the holiday of Hanukkah, share with them the joy of these special days, and give the children Chanukah gelt, the traditional Chanukah money, which became for the boys not only a pleasant gift but also a sign of attention, care, and sincere participation.
The main chanukiah of the boarding school for the boys was lit by the esteemed member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, Rafael Sapozhnikov. Special words of gratitude this evening were addressed to the Gluzman family, who gifted the boarding school a chanukiah that has become an important symbol of light, coziness, and a true home for its residents.
On this day, the “Bait leBanim” boarding school was visited by Yosef Nikitenko, Rafael Sapozhnikov, Michoel Pinkus, David Kropyvskyi, Schneur Zalman Salnikov, and Volodymyr Korotkykh. Their presence, warm words, and attention to each child filled the holiday with special meaning and genuine joy.
Hanukkah at “Bait leBanim” once again reminded us that for these boys, it is extremely important to feel the presence of adults who care about their fate and that the Dnipro Jewish Kehillah gives them not just support but a true home filled with love, care, and the light of the Hanukkah flames.
