At the Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Yeshiva Katan, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community for boys, “Didan Notzach” – the Day of Victory of the Holy Jewish Books – was celebrated in a meaningful and joyful manner. This day symbolizes the triumph of Torah, the connection of chassidim to the Rebbe, and the return of a spiritual legacy to its rightful custodians.
On the day of the holiday, a special event filled with movement, joy, and deep meaning took place at the yeshiva. The students participated in festive dances in honor of Didan Notzach and also watched a video dedicated to the history of this day, including the court case which confirmed that the Rebbe’s books belong to the chassidim – for the Rebbe is the Rebbe of the chassidim – and stories about how these books were returned.
The program continued with an interactive game where the students had to determine the sequence of the Lubavitcher Rebbes and match books with the Rebbe to whom they belong. This format allowed the children not only to better absorb the material but also to live the history through personal participation, transforming learning into a lively and exciting process. The atmosphere in the yeshiva was truly festive, chassidish, and inspiring, and the day concluded with a grand and vibrant farbrengen.
“Didan Notzach is not just a date or a story, but an important educational moment,” says the director of the yeshiva katan, Rabbanit Chana Segal. “Through joy, movement, games, and knowledge, the children feel that the books of Torah are a living part of their lives, their connection to the Rebbe and to tradition. Such days build inner strength, a love for learning, and an awareness of their belonging. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to hold such events within the united and close-knit Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”
