An important professional educational event took place at the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community – a master class for mathematics teachers of the city of Dnipro, dedicated to the modern possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the educational process.
The lyceum warmly welcomed teachers from city educational institutions to an open lesson by teacher-methodologist Tetiana Ivashkova on the topic “Mathematics on the AI Wave: Discovering Claude.” The event was dedicated to the practical application of the latest digital tools in teaching mathematics, in particular the capabilities of services like Claude and NotebookLM, which help explain complex topics, create tasks of varying difficulty levels, and significantly save teachers’ time on lesson preparation.
Participants of the master class had the opportunity to see how artificial intelligence can be used to create clear visualizations, adapt learning materials to the needs of a specific class, and make mathematics lessons more understandable, interesting, and motivating for students. The presented examples showed that modern technologies can become a real tool for improving the quality of education and the professional development of teachers.
“For our lyceum, it is extremely important to be a space where modern pedagogical ideas are born and high-level professional experience is exchanged,” says the director of the Jewish Lyceum, Olena Krasnova. “We are very pleased that we can organize and conduct such events at a high level, which is possible thanks to the constant support of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council and our dear Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
