The JBBBS (Jewish Big Brothers\Big Sisters) project of the Dnipro Jewish Community continues to open up the world of bright impressions, culture, and live emotions for children. The latest meeting of the program became a real fairytale – project participants visited the Dnipro Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet to attend the premiere of the ballet “Aladdin.”
From the first minutes of the performance, the children were completely captivated. The masterful performance of the artists, lavish costumes, elegant choreography, thoughtful set designs with lighting effects, and enchanting music created an atmosphere of real magic. Time flew by unnoticed – the performance was so captivating and emotionally rich. The fairytale mood that began January continued to accompany the children long after the show ended, inspiring them to share their impressions and experienced emotions.
Such cultural events are of particular importance for children’s development. They help form aesthetic taste, develop imagination, teach empathy, attentiveness, and the ability to be open to new things. The theater shows how rich, deep, and inspiring the world of art can be.
“We strive to ensure that every meeting within the program is not only interesting for the children but also meaningful, one that leaves a mark on the heart,” says the head of the JBBBS project, Tetiana Kaplunska. “Such trips to the theater give not just emotions, but a sense of beauty, support, and belief that even in challenging times, childhood can be bright and joyful.
We sincerely thank the Jewish communities of Dnipro and Greater Boston, as well as Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki, for their constant support and the opportunity to give children bright, deep, and inspiring experiences. The JBBBS program is part of the multi-sectoral Kehila Project initiative and creates a space of development, joy, and happy childhood for children, despite all the challenges of the present.
