Winter Camp for Girls in Dnipro – Final Days Filled with Sensations, Warmth, and Gratitude

The winter camp for girls, “Girls Winter Day Camp Gan Yisroel Dnipro 5786,” has concluded in the Dnipro Jewish Community. During the winter holidays, it united thirty-six participants around the deep and inspiring theme of “The Five Senses,” through which a person learns to consciously serve Hashem, appreciate the gifts of body and soul, and relate more attentively to oneself and the surrounding world.

Our website previously provided a detailed account of the first five days of the camp here. The sixth day was dedicated to the sense of smell. The girls discussed how scent is not just a physical sensation but a special channel of perception linked to purity, traditions, and mitzvahs. The practical part of the day featured a heartfelt soap-making workshop, where each participant chose a scent, added ingredients, and created her own unique product, infusing the process with attention, love, and creativity. Throughout the day, an interactive game also took place, helping the girls learn to distinguish scents and be aware of their own sensations, making the day warm, rich, and unforgettable.

The camp’s final day was a time for summing up and heartfelt words of gratitude. The camp team noted that the trust of the parents and their support were the most important part of this project, and that each girl was its heart and meaning. Special words of thanks were expressed to the Dnipro Jewish Community for organizing and making this camp possible, and to the MHPI “Beit Chana” for providing the venue for the “Girls Winter Day Camp Gan Yisroel Dnipro 5786.” Thanks to the work of the camp team, the support of the Community, and MHPI “Beit Chana,” an atmosphere of unity and care was formed, creating the opportunity to gift the children with full, bright, and meaningful days.

The parents of the participants shared their impressions with warmth and joy, noting that the girls went to camp every day with pleasure, eagerly awaited the activities, games, and meetings, and that the camp itself became a true source of joy, inspiration, and positive emotions for them. Many reviews contained words of gratitude to the organizers and madrichot for the high level, sincere care, and that special atmosphere which made this camp truly unforgettable.

“Each day of the camp, we tried not just to tell the girls about the mitzvahs and values of Judaism, but to help them live these themes through sensation, experience, and personal discovery,” says the camp director, Leah Lazareva. “Together with the wonderful madrichot, we did everything to make each day bright, unusual, and memorable, so that the girls would take away not only joy and impressions but also deep lessons and knowledge about themselves and the world. We are happy that the camp was held at a high level and successfully fulfilled its mission, entrusted to us by our dear Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
