An award ceremony for the winners and participants of the annual school artistic competition “Inspired by the Word” took place at the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community. Held on the eve of the winter break, the competition united students from grades 1 through 11 and became a bright event in the cultural life of the school.
The competition lasted two days, bringing together talented, courageous, and creative students on stage who demonstrated a high level of artistic reading, recitation, and work with the word. After the performances concluded, the jury took a pause to make a difficult decision, as the participants’ preparation level was exceptionally high. Therefore, it was announced that the competition results would be published after the winter break, in a festive and solemn atmosphere.
During the award ceremony, Lyceum Principal Olena Krasnova congratulated the participants, noting the children’s courage, their drive for self-realization, and sincere love for the word. She thanked parents and teachers for their meticulous work with the students and expressed gratitude to the Jewish community for its constant support and development of creative initiatives at the lyceum.
In the “Young Readers” category for elementary school, Age Group I (Grades 1-2): Third place was awarded to Diana Liflyanchik, a student of grade 1-A, supervisor S.A. Paliukh; Second place was won by Mark Lozinsky, a student of grade 2-A, supervisor V.L. Pliner; First place was secured by Roze Zolotukhina, a student of grade 2-A, supervisor V.L. Pliner.
In elementary school, Age Group II (Grades 3-4): Third place was awarded to Matvii Katryshev and Daniela Kolobova, students of grade 4-A, supervisor H.L. Arakelian; Second place was shared by Oleksandr Zhuchkov and Tsylia Nikitenko, students of grade 3-A, supervisor D.S. Barkova; First place was won by Alina Mikhaylova and Arina Buzhanska, students of grade 3-A, supervisor D.S. Barkova.
Among secondary school students, Age Group I (Grades 5-7): Third place was awarded to Yeva Gluzman, a student of grade 7-A, supervisor S.V. Chernyshova; Second place was shared by Miryam Promyslovska, a student of grade 5-A, and Anna Ryzhenkova, a student of grade 7-A, supervisor S.V. Chernyshova; First place was won by Michael Zolotarevsky, a student of grade 5-A, supervisor S.V. Chernyshova.
In secondary school, Age Group II (Grades 8-11): Third place was awarded to Kira Nikitenko, a student of grade 8-A, supervisor O.V. Ilchenko; Second place was shared by Maria Rassokhina, a student of grade 9-A, supervisor S.V. Chernyshova, and Amina Mikhtieva, a student of grade 10-A, supervisor O.V. Ilchenko; First place was won by Maxim Kandibur, a student of grade 8-A, supervisor O.V. Ilchenko, and Daniel Medyany, a student of grade 11-A, supervisor S.V. Romenska.
Participants in the “Foreign Language” category were recognized separately. Third place was awarded to Matvii Salanzhy, a student of grade 6-A, supervisor O.A. Raskina; Second place was won by Michael Zolotarevsky, a student of grade 5-A, supervisor A.M. Lytvynenko; First place was secured by Georgii Kyrychaty, a student of grade 5-A, supervisor A.M. Lytvynenko.
Summing up this important event, Lyceum Principal Olena Krasnova emphasized: “The ‘Inspired by the Word’ competition once again confirmed that an environment has been created at the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144 where children can boldly reveal their talents, learn to feel the word and express their own thoughts. For the opportunity to hold such competitions in our difficult times and to help children unlock their creative potential, we wholeheartedly thank the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
