At Machon “Chaya-Mushka,” the leading educational institution for girls of the Dnipro Jewish Community, a special off-campus excursion took place within the framework of the educational program “Shurah Rishonah.” This outing served as a bright and joyful culmination of the efforts of 7th-11th grade students throughout the month of Shevat.
The trip was organized as an incentive for those program participants who earned the highest number of points by completing monthly tasks and regularly filling out special mission sheets, which documented their diligence, responsibility, and personal achievements. Thanks to their perseverance and involvement, the girls had the opportunity to travel together to an ice rink and an entertainment center, where they spent a wonderful time skating, laughing, supporting one another, and simply enjoying a well-deserved break in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
This trip holds special significance as it concluded the intensive work of Shevat, a month whose program included important dates in the Jewish calendar such as Yud Shevat, Tu BiShevat, and the 22nd of Shevat. By completing tasks related to these days, the girls not only expanded their knowledge and strengthened their spiritual connection to tradition but also learned responsibility, consistency, and the ability to see things through—all of which was reflected in the points they earned.
“Such trips are not just recreation, but an important part of the educational process, where the girls experience firsthand that diligence, responsibility, and performing good and right deeds yield real results and joy,” notes program director Chana Stambler. “This is how the inner unity between spiritual work and daily life is formed, and step by step, a generation is being raised that is destined to continue the mission of the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
