A moving and solemn Jewish wedding ceremony – Chuppah ve-Kiddushin – took place in the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah,” in Dnipro, for David Yisroel Cherkassky and Keren Raizel Kryzhova.
The wedding celebrations began with a traditional reception – “Kabbalas Panim” – during which the bride and groom, like a king and queen, received their guests. Keren Raizel welcomed her family and friends in the gallery of the Menorah Center, while David Yisroel held his reception in the side chapel of the “Golden Rose” Synagogue, where, after signing the Kesubah, he recited the maamar “Lecha Dodi,” revealing the spiritual essence of a Jewish wedding.
Then, accompanied by men, the groom was led to the bride, where he performed the “badekenish” ceremony. The honored role of shoshvinim was taken by the Weber and Nachshon families.
The “Chuppah ve-Kiddushin” wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the Grand Terrace of the Menorah Grand Palace, in the presence of family and friends, as well as rabbis and esteemed community members. The wedding hymn “Mi Adir” was performed by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Nachshon. The letter of blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe was read by Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki, with its translation into Ukrainian by Reb Shlomo Tereshkevich.
The official “Chuppah ve-Kiddushin” wedding ceremony for David Yisroel Cherkassky and Keren Raizel Kryzhova was conducted by the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, while Rabbis Yosef Yitzchak Nachshon and David Maltsev attested to the authenticity of the ring. The wedding contract – the Kesubah – was read by Rabbi Moshe Listengurt. Then the Sheva Brachos, the seven wedding blessings, were recited.
The Dnipro Jewish Community and our website join in all the congratulations and wish David Yisroel and Kerren Raizel to build a strong Jewish family on the solid foundation of Torah and mitzvos.
