The First Post-Pesach Session at the “Beit Sarah” Project

The Beit Sarah project for women of golden age, run by the renowned Jewish revival activist Luba Simcha (Luiza) Tsitsuashvili, held its first post-Pesach session at the Jewish Community of Dnipro. It took place in an atmosphere of exceptional spiritual uplift, joyful reunion, and inner renewal.

Traditionally, the session began with a study of a letter from the Head of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, setting the tone for the entire meeting and allowing the participants to engage in a deep understanding of spiritual work. The main focus of the day was the significance of the period after Passover and the special importance of the first Shabbat following the holiday, as a time to consolidate the spiritual level achieved and implement it in everyday life.

The women also studied the weekly Torah portion, “Tazria Metzora,” and discussed the Rebbe’s explanations and his sicha, touching on important aspects of inner purification and spiritual growth. Special attention was given to the topic of Rosh Chodesh, its significance, and its impact on a person’s spiritual state.

During the session, the participants recited Tehillim, addressing the Almighty with prayer and gratitude, and studied Igrot Kodesh, finding answers and inspiration for their lives. A special moment in the meeting was the beginning of the study of Perkei Avot, an important step in the program participants’ systematic spiritual development.

Each woman received a blessing, and the session concluded with a shared meal, celebrated in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. As a gift for the upcoming Shabbat, the participants were given challah, symbolizing the continuation of the sanctity of the holiday in their homes.

“We were thrilled to see each other after Passover, to feel this unity, and to receive such a powerful boost of spiritual energy,” says project director Lyuba Simcha (Louisa) Tsitsuashvili. “Every meeting in our project fills us with meaning and support, and we are sincerely grateful to the Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki for their care, attention, and the opportunity for our women to grow spiritually and be together.”
