A farbrengen dedicated to Pesach Sheini took place at the historic “Alter Shul” synagogue, one of the synagogues of the united Dnipro Jewish Community. The building houses the “Good Future” rehabilitation center for people with difficult life circumstances who require special attention, socialization, psychological and spiritual support, and adaptation. The gathering was attended by congregants and guests, including participants of the STL projects.
The farbrengen took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere, uniting all present around the understanding of the significance of Pesach Sheini as a special day that offers a person the opportunity for spiritual renewal and a second chance. During the gathering, the participants sang niggunim, shared their experiences, and received a powerful charge of inspiration and energy to continue their spiritual work.
This gathering held particular significance for the youth participating in the STL projects, for whom such events become an important part of personal growth and strengthening their connection to Jewish tradition.
“Such gatherings fill us with inner strength, provide the right direction, and inspire us to continue our spiritual work,” notes Rabbi Adam Smilyansky. “Pesach Sheini is a very important day, especially for those who belong to baalei teshuvah – people returning to their true identity. We can support and strengthen them by fulfilling the mission entrusted to us by the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
