The Community Mourns – The Soul of Leib (Leonid Grigoryevich) Sklyar Has Left the Material World

The Dnipro Jewish Community announces with deep sorrow that the soul of esteemed community member Leib (Leonid Grigoryevich) Sklyar has prematurely left the material world.

Leonid Grigoryevich was a man whose name is inextricably linked with the revival of Jewish life in Dnipro. He was at the origins of many important community initiatives, took an active part in the development of educational, cultural, and charitable projects, sincerely cared about the future of the Jewish community, and always sought to help people. He was respected for his wisdom, responsiveness, inner dignity, and readiness to support others in times of need. For many, he became an example of devotion to his people, to the community, and to Jewish values.

The funeral service for Leib Sklyar will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 11:00 AM at the address: 5 Uspenska Square, Pcholkin House (Menorah Cultural Center).

The funeral will take place at the Zaporizhzhia Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
For those without personal transportation, a bus will be organized.
As the funeral will be conducted according to Jewish tradition, please come without flowers or wreaths.
