Another men’s Torah class at the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing through the efforts of the Zislin family, was dedicated to the weekly portions of Matos-Masei and reflections on a man’s life journey, the significance of the decisions he makes, and the ability to overcome internal obstacles that hinder forward movement.
The speaker for the gathering was Reb Zalman Rabinovich, who offered the participants a detailed study of the portions of Matos-Masei, which reveal deep spiritual aspects of a man’s life path, responsibility for one’s own choices, and the importance of being ready for change, which opens new opportunities for personal growth.
During the lesson, the participants spoke about why a man sometimes finds himself unable to take the next step, despite a sincere desire to change his life. Special attention was given to how the Torah helps one reflect on one’s own mistakes, make well-considered decisions, and find inner strength to overcome life’s trials.
A separate line of discussion was the understanding that the ancient wisdom of the Torah remains relevant today, helping a man to better understand himself, to see the meaning in what is happening, and to move forward confidently, relying on spiritual values and accumulated life experience.
“Studying the weekly portions of Matos-Masei helps men to realize more deeply that life’s journey consists of the decisions we make, the willingness to change, and the ability to learn from our own experience,” noted Levi Zislin, director of the “Menorah Community” project. “It is precisely through the study of Torah and the desire to apply its wisdom in daily life that our spiritual connection is strengthened, helping each of us to participate even more actively in the life of our dear, united, and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
