The Dnipro Jewish Community concludes its publication of the films created by the students of the Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Yeshiva Ktana for the “Paths of the Chassidim” film festival, which served as a vibrant conclusion to the school year. We have already provided a detailed account of the film festival itself, which took place at the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah.” Now, we invite viewers to explore its main content – the creative works dedicated to outstanding Chassidim, their lives, spiritual feats, and the life lessons that the students were able to convey through the language of modern cinema.
Each film is an independent story, created in its own genre, ranging from fantasy and comedy to detective stories, musicals, and historical epics. While working on these films, the students not only studied the biographies of remarkable Chassidim but also sought to understand their legacy, demonstrating how the ideas of Torah and Chassidus continue to inspire new generations.
Today, we present the joint work of the students in grades 7-11, created in the historical epic genre – the film “Look Forward.” It is dedicated to the legendary Chassid Reb Mendel Futerfas, whose life passed through trials, difficulties, and persecution, yet nothing could weaken his connection to the Rebbe. His destiny teaches us to remain faithful to our values, to look forward, and never to lose inner strength.
