The fourth day at the “Nitzotzot Kdusha” girls day camp, organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro with the support of the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine charity organization, was dedicated to the Paroches—the special curtain that separated the Sanctuary, the Kodesh, from the Holy of Holies, the Kodesh HaKodashim, in the Beis HaMikdash.
An educational session for the participants was led by Morah Daniela Listengurt. The girls learned about the significance of the Paroches, the sanctity of the Beis HaMikdash space, and the spiritual light that every person can preserve within their heart. To deepen their connection to the day’s theme and preserve a warm memory of the lesson, each participant created a keepsake souvenir of her choice—either a brooch or a keychain—with her own hands.
“Such activities help the girls not only to learn more about the Beis HaMikdash and Jewish tradition, but also to express their impressions through creativity, making special keepsakes with their own hands,” said camp director Leah Lazareva. “We are very pleased that each day at ‘Nitzotzot Kdusha’ combines new knowledge, spiritual growth, and the joy of connection, helping the participants feel themselves to be part of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
