New Playground Opens at “Beit Tzindlicht” – a Gift from the Nikitenko Family

At the “Beit Tzindlicht” children’s educational center, a leading preschool institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, the grand opening of a new modern playground took place on the outdoor recreation area. The wonderful gift for the students was made by philanthropist and esteemed member of the Jewish Community of Dnipro Yosif Nikitenko on behalf of his family. The spacious play town, featuring slides, passageways, rope elements, and other developmental structures, has significantly expanded opportunities for active recreation, physical development, and health promotion for the community’s youngest members.

The ceremonial event was attended by philanthropist Yosif Nikitenko and the director of “Beit Tzindlicht,” Rabbanit Risha Gurevich. Together they unveiled a memorial plaque installed on the new play complex. It reads: “With great care for the upbringing of future generations, this playground is gifted to the ‘Beit Tzindlicht’ preschool by Yosif and Avital Leah, Chana Golda, Tzila, and Sara Nikitenko.” After the ceremony, guests were given a tour of the preschool, introducing them to the educational process, the conditions in which the children grow and are raised, and the main areas of the institution’s work.

The new play complex immediately became a favorite place for the students. Already on the first day after the opening, the children joyfully explored the slides, passageways, rope elements, and other play structures. Such modern play spaces help develop agility, coordination, endurance, self-confidence, and the ability to interact with one another, making daily outdoor walks even more interesting, enriching, and beneficial.

“We are sincerely grateful to the Nikitenko family for this wonderful gift to our children,” said Rabbanit Risha Gurevich, director of the “Beit Tzindlicht” children’s educational center. “It is very important to us that our students grow up from an early age in a beautiful, modern, and thoughtfully created environment where there are all opportunities for learning, play, physical development, and a happy childhood. We already see how much joy the new playground has brought to our little ones, and we are confident that it will continue to support their development for many years to come. This is how, together, we create the best conditions for the upbringing of the youngest members of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
