The Jewish world has suffered a great loss – at the age of 86, the soul of Rabbi Avraham Levi Lipskier, one of the outstanding rabbis of our time, who dedicated his life to strengthening Jewish life and helping those returning to their roots, has departed from the material world.
Rabbi Avraham Levi Lipskier was one of the pioneers of working with baalei teshuvah – Jews returning to Torah and Jewish tradition. For many years, he helped thousands of people find their way back to their roots, gain a connection to Torah and Yiddishkeit, and make Jewish life an integral part of their path.
For the Jewish Community of Dnipro, the passing of Rabbi Lipskier holds special significance. He was the father of Rebbetzin Chana Kaminezki and visited Dnipro on numerous occasions, participating in the life of the community. He was always received here with particular warmth and respect.
The Jewish Community of Dnipro mourns together with Jews around the world, expresses its deep condolences to the family and loved ones of Rabbi Avraham Levi Lipskier, and to the entire people of Israel.
The funeral of Rabbi Avraham Levi Lipskier will begin today at 3:00 PM American time at the “770” Synagogue and will continue at 4:00 PM at Montefiore Cemetery (New York, USA).
